Man it's dark in there . . . 850 1994

Have got no interior lights. And I mean nothing (door lights, ceiling, vanity, reading and map)! Checked the fuse and all is well. Aside from that troubleshooting task I don't know where to go next (this is my 1st 850 but not 1st Volvo). So I don't know if there is something simple that I can move onto to be on the look out for. Or is this an issue that is famous for the 850 and best if looked at by a mechanic? Oh yeah, my door lights don't come on either.

Also, the motor on the passenger side headlight wiper will not shut off. As soon as I turn the key the things is on. The only way to turn it ff is to shut the car off. Of course, I can't pull the fuse because the fuse operates several items. Is there any way to unplug the thing?

Thanks in advance,
Nathaniel

you could disconnect the wire harness for that motor alone , it is posible the plug is cliped to the head lite mounting panel just under the head lite bulb (little brown plug with 3 terminals...)

try pushing down on the rocker switch on the dome lite. If it comes on then the switch is your problem.

Tried your suggestion . . . nothing. If I try to manually turn the lights on I don't get anything. It's like there's no power getting to them. Aside from the fuse, is there a switch that can be replaced in order to get them working? If so, is that switch for all the interior lighting?

Thanks,
Nathaniel
