Can anyone suggest easiest method of releasing stuck antenna (down position).
The motor can be heard to activate but mast stays down.

    my antenna sticks sometimes when its cold, probably because water got down there, so wait until it warms up, if thats the problem, relube it and it should be fine

    Sounds like you need a new mast. They have pretty easy to replace. When I did mine it came with instructions.

      Not that there is anything wrong with replaceing the mast, but if funds are a little short, take the antenna assembly out of the car and clean and relube it. Mine used to make a grinding sound and the mast would never move. I cleaned and relubed it and it has been working great for over a year. Good luck!
