I saw a web site (of course - I can't remember where!) that was showing a new headlight replacement bulb for Volvo S70 that has a higher output than the std halogen bulbs. It ran on 60W or 70W (versus the std 50W) and delvered +100W output?? Wish I cold remember where the web site was!
I know that these types of replacement bulbs are not nearly as good (or nearly as effective) as true Xenon HID lamps. But the bulb replecements are only ~$25 or so versus $500 - $600 for an HID conversion kit.
I think that the bulbs (although mfg was not named on the site) are probably Nokia, PIAA, Sylvania or something.
If anyone has experience with replacement bulbs like this that have improved the light output please let me know. IMHO the std bulbs in the Girlfriend.org's '99 S70 quite frankly suck!
Thanks!
