Door locks S70

I have a 1998 S70. All 4 car doors will lock from both remote and the drivers control switch, but neither will open 2 of the doors. The failure occurred on both doors when I was trying to open them with the remote the same time someone was using the door handle to open them.

How easy it this to fix and what do I have to do?

Thanks

    RickB;

    Hate to tell you, I had the same thing happen. The dealer hit me for $250 to replace an "actuator".

    I know, I got ripped off, and I'm not proud to admit it...but I had the same symptoms from the same thing and was in a hurry to have it fixed. Looks like another S70 minor quality quirk, like the headlights, squeaky steering grommet, broken thermostat....

    I don't have a solution but was wondering about this:

    On my 98 S70 only the front passenger door will open from the
    inside when the car is locked. The drivers door handle does
    not unlock the door from the inside. I swear it used to. I think
    I may have been pulling it open once at the same time the power
    switch was triggered. I plan to open up the door and have a look
    at the mechanicals to see what is going on. Just haven't gotton
    around to it.

    I think you'll be OK with just removing the door handles and reinstalling them. The handles are secured by two bolts under a plastic cover near the top of the door. I don't think you'll need to remove the interior door panel or lock assembly to fix this, but if you do, see my recent post in this thread:
