tail lights going in and out 2000

My tail lights work some times and just blink out. Even was pulled over because of this. Does anybody know of any electrical problems on newer Volvos?
It's a 2000.

    Odd behavior involving lights is usually caused by grounding problems.

    Check all connections especially grounds.
