Does someone have a serpentine belt installation tool?

I need an info: I'de like to know the "box" size, is it 19mm?

Thx

You don't need any special tools for this. I bought a 3 ft x 1 in. x 3/16 in. metal strap at Home Depot and cut to 1 3/8 in. You can then use a cresant wrench to release the tension. Anything longer than this wouldn't fit on my S70. The metal insert is the approach recommended in the Hayne's repair manual. There was also a hole on the tensioner that lines up with another hole when the tension is released. I inserted an L-shaped hex wrench in the holes which made it easy to remove and replace the belt without the wrench being in the way.

My three cent solution. Tape three pennies to one of the flat sides of a half inch drive. The pennies will probably be distorted when done as the new ones are aluminum.

Yeah, I made my own, just hogged out a piece 1 inch by 1 1/4 inch or so from some junk steel plate, to fit on the diagonal. Used gas pliers to grip and turn, then pinned it with an appropriately-sized nail when the holes lined up. Cost nothing.

There is not that much spring tension on it. The thing with the vise grips and quarters (I used washers) worked fine for me.

It's a whopping $0.75, and well, you get the $0.75 back.

Volvospeed says volvo puts a 3/4" adapter on a 1/2" drive, IPD sells a serp tool, and the Haynes manual says to put a metal strip in the box diagonally and use a crescent wrench on it.
