Center wheel cap S40-V40

One of the center wheel caps on my 2001 S40 fell off when I was driving. I need to get a new one. Any suggestions on where to find one and what should I expect to pay? Is it a common occurance for these wheel caps to fall off? Thanks!

I lost one, the dealer removed all and put some sticky stuff to hold them in place, all fine since then

It's a common occurance for me, the wheel caps falling off. I think I've had at least 4-5 fall off from various wheels in the past 3 years. I used to think someone was stealing them but I've been keeping an eye on them and I can see them getting loose.

According to dealer, the retaining spring has been improved over oe cap. They might be right as I haven't had any missing for quite awhile. I've replaced 3 at $8 ea. For a while I kinda thought it's a "midnite auto part" thing. I hope you don't live in my area. Just kidding.

Any recommendations on where to find a center cap at a resonable price? $8 a piece sounds quite reasonable....where might I find one at that price?

My dealer replaced all 4 of them for free - so try that first. Apparently it is a common problem.

Yes it is a fairly common problem to loose them >i bought a few on E Bay and think I paid $4.00.use a little Goop to hold them on .Very Poor OE Design
