Damn you pot hole! S70 1999

Last Saturday I went over a huge pot hole... grrr... end result: front right wheel is slightly bent, lost the hub cap, lost little plastic grill on the right side (fog light area), and belly pan (plastic engine protector on the bottom) cracked and broke off.

Called the dealer, they want $150 for belly pan, $60 for the hub cap, $12 for the little plastic grill and if the wheel needs to be replaced, its another $250! I cannot believe this amaunt of money, its rediculous. Anyways I might be over reacting since I dont know much about volvo car parts but still, I think $500 is alot of money.

I'd appreciate any suggestions, on what to do or where to get these OEM parts. Thanks in advance.

Peru y tu?

contact the county or city in which the "accident" happened.THEY are responsible. because this wasnt a "road hazzard". when you threaten small claims court they should pay for the bill. people in N.Y. get paid all the time from tripping on cracks in the side walks.

If you are in the U.S you might also check with your state government.
In California they have a program to reimburse drivers for pothole damage
to cars. A quick search at google.com showed MI and RI have programs, too.
Also, some cities cover it for their roadways.

(Hurry, the states are all running out of money as we speak.)
