You should see my driveway,

my wifes 97 850 wagon leaves marks all over,
I bought a new plug and washer, still drips,
i check bay 13, do I sand the area around the drain hole

any tips would be great

    buy a replacement plug from www.fumotovalve.com and you'll never remove a drain bolt again. it is the first thing that i buy for all my bricks., no more burned or oily fingers too.

      I go along with Sherm. I've had a Fumoto valve drain plug on my last 3 Volvos and will have one on my next one. No leaks and oil change is super easy and fast. Now if they figure something out for the oil filter it would be great!!! Get one and you will not be sorry.

    Are you using an aluminum washer? That what seems to work best.

      yup, bought on idp still leaks, I torked pretty good

    This is a long shot! Try wrapping the drain plug nut with teflon wrap a few times. Sounds like the drain hole is just slightly out of round causing a very small gap.

    I notice you have a 93. Do you have a EGR valve under your throttle body?
