I have a '95 850 T5 and am looking to replace my floor mats. I ordered them from the dealer and when I opened the box they were a different style and lokk really cheap. The mats I have are beige and have an 850 emblem on them. I asked the parts dept and they told me that they don't make mats pre 2000 anymore. Is this true? Where can I get them from than.

SPS - I have some 850 mats I took out and replaced with rubber mats. If you are interested I can take some pics and email them to you... Email me if you wish...

I think that what the dealer said was true. The floor mats with 850 emblem on it can no longer be found from Volvo dealer. I still hold on to mine even though they are half way on it's life. The other choice is to purchase the rubber floor trays to replace them. Maybe ebay too.

Why would Volvo stop making the original mats and replace them with cheap ones?

I got a set from the dealer here in CT. They have a Volvo logo embroidered on the drivers side mat, but they're nice and thick and the same type fabric as the carpet. I wouldn't say they look cheap. Clayton Motors in East Hartford, CT.

I don't know why Volvo stopped making the 850 emblem floor mats. If the latest floor mat is as thick as ours's 850 one, than you can consider that. The only different is Volvo emblem instead of 850 emblem.
