Buying an 850 850

I'm looking to buy a 850 R 1997 w/118,000 miles on it. Anything I should look out for or be worried about. It has been upgraded with sport shocks and brakes,

Volvo 850's are known for rear main seal problems, evap. cannister problems, engine mounts, abs control module failures (97's seem to be Ok), automatic tranny problems, heater blower failures, etc. Just look through all the posts here.

I don't know if you have already bought one, but if you go to web page www.volvoclub.org.uk/ they have a section on buying tips for the 850/70. What to look for and stuff that would answer you questions. Also have buying tips for other volvos. Good Luck

Typical 850 things like transmission and evaporator coil. Coming up on second drivebelt and t-belt changes.
