trailer hitch options? S80

Hi all,

My uncle has an s80 for which he would like to get a trailer hitch. I know that at least some of the aftermarket ones require a bit of cutting -- does anyone know if the Volvo one does too? Does anyone have any opinions on any of the ones available? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Erik,

    Check out this guy's link for the V70. Much of the info should carry over to the S80: http://www.darelldd.com/volvo/tow_hitch.htm

    On these recommendations, I installed the Da'lan hitch on my 2001 V70XC. It was the lowest profile of the conventional receiver hitches and required no cutting. I did have to slightly bend one of the ears in a vice so it would slide into place properly, but other than that, it uses the factory mounting holes. About a 1hr install...
