Is there a Good Shop near Woodinville, WA? 850 1995

We used to live in the SF Bay Area, was in NM for the last year, and I have just moved to Woodinville (near Seattle), WA. Is there a good shop you would recommend to do the major maintenance on our '95 855T?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

p.s. All of our stuff is in storage, and I don't remember my username/password anymore. Can the Site Moderator help?

Steve, don't know if you got an answer to your question or not. I have an '95 850 turbo and have been doing most of my own maintenance. I have used Northwest Volvo in Lynnwood, I haven't found there diagnostic skills to be extraordinary, I had a real problem with a fuel relay that they took a week to figure out, although in all fairness they did resolder the original before finally replacing it. Saving money the hard way. I have used Oddvars in Ballard, a real hole in the wall and mostly good on 240-700 series. Gave up on him for my 850, he charged me $350 for a diagnosis and tranny flush when I finally had to replace the PNP switch myself. The only other choice would be Barrier in Bellvue. I had my 740 serviced there and they were OK, no sever problems with the car so no reason to look for anything else with them. Let me know if you find someone better. There are several independents in Seattle. If you need body work I strongly recommend Bellvue Auto Rebuild in Bellevue, They do outstanding work. Removed several deep scratches and replaced and painted a hood and rear passenger door for me. Would not hesitate to use them again. Good luck.

      bjsieloff,

Thanks for your reply. I have been recuperating from an emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix and just got on-line today.

We too have a '95 850 Turbo, with the IPD chip. It will need its 120K service and Barrier(in Belleview) is pretty close to Woodinville.

I too do most of my own routine maintenance, but everything is still packed; and I like to have Volvo look over the car occasionally.

      Again thanks for your reply.

      Steve
