This has only happened three times in the past year. Today, driving in to work I turned the knob to change displays from mpg average to outside temp. For a second, the display read "disc" as if it were displaying a CD function. I do have the Volvo optional CD changer. When this displays, it's only between detents.

    if ur warranty is up, ur dealer may or may not replace that for free...think it may have just been a servise bulletin

    It is short for "disconnected". It can display this if the
    switch is between settings.
