How much for a 850R 850

I was wondering how much I should pay for a 1996 850R with around 90,000 miles. It is pretty clean inside.

No more than $10,000 if in excellent condition, with most of the option and service records. If you want to pay higher, the seller should take that part as a donation as a Volvo owner or ask him/her to drop a new transmission.

It has 90k miles on it and these cars are costly to maintain. I am even excluding the US recession factor. So you are basically doing this guy a major favor.
