How to reset Service Light? S70 1998

Help!!! Can some one please teach me how to reset the "service light" without bringing the car to the dealership? I did the service myself and don't know how to reset the service light, which is the one that goes off after two minutes.

It may not work on your '98, but it's worth a try...if you hold down the odometer reset button and turn the key on until all of the lights light, (without starting the engine) and hold it down for about 30 seconds, the indicator will blink. When it quits, turn off the key. It should be reset at this point.

      Will your suggestion work for a '99 S70 T5?

        2. press and hold trip reset

        3. insert ignition key, turn to position I

        4. after 2 seconds, turn key to position II

        5. Wait for service light to blink

    Choices S70 1998

For 1996-1998 Volvos it's either the reset tool or the black electrical tape. If you're rally annoyed you could always pull the bulb.

There is a tool you can buy for the reader. Cost around $120. Or you could pull the annunciator fuse, or use a piece of black electric tape.

    Cheers
