Rumbling noise - transmission? 850

I have a rumbling noise when the car is moving!!
It is no more or less when it is coasting or in gear and no difference that I have noticed when going around bends, which probably excludes bearings. I can also feel it through the pedals.
Any help would be appreciated before I take it somewhere to be looked at. (Forearmed is forewarned!!)

does it change with speed? tire noise maybe?

Don't think it does.

Tyres are due for a change and they are cheaper types. Wouldn't buy them again, they seemed to wear in the middle even with tyre pressure correct.
I am hoping it is nothing like driveshafts or gearbox!!
