Roof Molding-installation 850

I need to replace the roof molding on my 850, I have the molding but have not opened the tubes yet, does anyone know if the clips for the molding are included, I bought genuine Volvo parts. Also, is it a hard job to do? Any tips or advice. I am still rookie on this car!!!

Roof Molding-installation 850

Hi ya 850yuppy.

its a fairly easy procedure as i take mine off once a yea to clean the recess as i show my car :-)

If you start at the base of the windscreen lift up gengle and continue up the whole to the rear.

You will see many clips some of them different colours, if any came off while you remove them they need to go back in their original positions. They easily clip is place nd make sure the clip holding the trim is not to wide.

You should have in your kit some duobble sides stickies fr the end rubbers needed at the end.

I aline every thing up and start from the A piller downward to the windscreen base and then to the rear or the car. Then use your sticky bit for the rubber end.

Roof Molding - Installation 850

The clips for the molding should be in place when you remove the original molding. It's an easy job. When I replaced mine, I started at the windshield end, and just gave the original molding a good upward tug. It pops out one clip at a time, down the length. Then you just reverse the procedure to install the new piece.
