How to reset check engine light? V70-XC70 1998

How do I reset the check engine light? I am 99% certain it is a low fuel pressure error from a loose fuel cap.

    If the problem was a loose gas cap then it will reset itself as stated earlier. The system has to get completely cool three etimes before reseting. usually three or four days.

    On several occasions, my check engine lamp came on due to improperly installed fuel cap. The light has always gone off by itself, but it takes 2 or 3 days usually.

    Disconnect the battery ground cable for about a minute. (You'll need your stereo antitheft code.)
