Winshield noise..... S70

I just bought a 99 S70 from a good friend without test diving it at moderate speeds. The car has an excellent history and the factory windshield. The wind noise from the upper edge moulding is making me re-think my purchase. I called two dealerships and referenced the service bulletin but they couldn't provide any information. What is the fix? I cannot pull up two responses on the message forum that might help. I already taped over the upper and side mouldings so I know it is coming from there. Should you be able to run your finger under the edge of the moulding?

The fix for the wind noise consists of pressing a piece of weather stripping under the windshield molding in the upper section between the roof and windshield. below is a copy of the TSB:

Title
Windshield molding, upper, noise

Background

Noise may be heard on cars with an integrated upper windshield molding. The noise can be reduced if a weatherstrip is installed between the windshield molding and the car body. The weatherstrip will be included with new windshield. A self-adhesive molding has introduced into production from chassis number end points listed below. The weatherstrip can be used on cars within the following chassis numbers and on older cars which have had windows replaced for new versions.

What's this "weather stripping" look like? Is it just foam or rubber?

I've not seen the actual part - only the drawings on the Tech Bull. which, unfortunately, won't copy to the forum. It appears to be a solid cylindrical rope-like piece of rubber or perhaps neoprene. Ask at a Volvo dealer for part no. 9483768.
