shift lock override S70 1998

I have to use the override button all the time now. Obviously Volvo had a problem or there would not be a (convenient) override. What is the permanent fix? How expensive/difficult is it? I could just keep on using the override, but that makes it complicated with other drivers.

the microswitch is probably bad and needs replacement. Inexpensive part, about $20.

Go to www.volvospeed.com for instructions on replacing.

I think the technical name is 'PNP' switch. (nmi) S70 1998
