Back-Up Light Switch Replacement 850

Please advise in regard to replacement of back-up light switch on a 1996, 850 manual transmission. Thanks for any assistance. I can find some related threads, but am not sure if procedures relate to this model.

    Since the back-up light switch for the manual transmission is different than the back-up light switch for the automatic transmission, impress upon the parts guy at you Volvo dealer that the switch you want is for a manual transmission.

    It took three trips to my Volvo dealer to get the correct back-up light switch. The parts guys at my Volvo dealer have never scene a manual transmissioned 850--I don't think they think they exist.
