Car seat recommendations? V70-XC70

We're trying to find a convertible baby car seat that fits well into our V70 wagon in the rearward position, for a baby <1 year old. Can anyone recommend convertible seats that fit well in the rearward position? Forward facing isn't a problem, but we've tried the Britax Roundabout and the Evenflo Triumph 5 in the rearward position. To get them into the required 45 degree backrest angle, the front passenger seat would have to be so far up that the passengers would have to have REALLY short legs!

    We have a '98 V70XC. We have the Britax mounted in the Center Position and it works great. Check you local Childrens hospital, they may have a child seat fitting program.

      Thanks for your recommendation. Just got back from a Car seat safety inspection. Unfortunately, they told us not to use the car seat in the center position because we have a fold-down armrest in that position in our V70. So it's back to the drawing board again! Babies 'R Us will get sick of us very soon!

      Hi Larry,

      I've got a 7 month old boy and I'm using a 3 in 1 car seat made by COSCO. It's the Eddie Bauer Edition. Rear Facing up to 1 year, Forward Facing up to 40 lbs (I think) and then booster seat up to 80 lbs. I have to use a rolled up towel in order to hit the proper angle for the seat. My wife is 5'8" and is OK in the front passenger seat.
