Have problem with mine: Anyone used Anti-sway Bars on 2001 & up? V70-XC70 2001

I bought the IPD anti-sway bars and had the installed by an Ex-Volvo service Mgr. They make the handling incredible, however:

My current volvo service rep tells me there is metal to metal contact between my sway bar and one of the front control arms and they don't know what to do to fix the problem (since I have screwed with the car now).

The reason I brought the car in was for rattling in the front end (the strut spring seat I believe it is called) which is known to be a faulty part. I wanted to get it replaced before my warranty ran out but now they probably won;t want to replace this either.

Anyway before I go take pictures and start talking to IPD I thought I would get any feedback.

Thanks, anyone with experience or feedback please advise, Thomas

No .... I don't have a P2 V70 .... but I have iPd bars on my '98 and my dealer replaced about 1/2 of my front suspension before their tech had even figured out that that it wasn't Volvo factory bars that were on the car! The cause of my noise was the iPd poly bushings which are noisy by their nature. (I have some technician-grade dilectric grease that I glob into the bushings when it gets too noisy, this works fine!)

Anyway, if you have actual metal-to-metal contact, check in with your ex-Volvo person who installed the bars to see if there is actual contact and then call iPd, I always found them helpful.
