dog/cargo barrier -- behind front seat?

Hello all -- looking to get a dog barrier for my 96 855T. The thing is, we'd like to mount it behind the front seats, not the back, so that we might open up more space for our 2 large dogs when the rear seats are folded down. Can this be done? I presume it would have to be a flip-up or removable unit for those times when we'd like to have humans in the back seat.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Volvo's net barrier, that rolls up into the top of the back seat, can be deployed at the back of the rear seat, and at the back of the front seat when the rear seat is folded down.

I do not know if it is a good dog barrier or not, but I think you should check one out.
