Well finally got the S70 to sit still long enough to look at it.
I decided to tackel the dead rear window.
After poking around the door panel and getting nowhere I decided to
see if the switch would come out.. I gently pry'd the switch holder around
the edge and up it came. When it came loose it kinda popped up an out
of the hole into my hand... WTF? no wires! Wireless? no.. the connector
had fallen off. plugged it back into the switch and it works fine. DOH!
Next I need to figure out the random problems with the power locks. the
question becomes... Is the black box on the driver's side door switch holder
the master unit?
Also when the key is turned or the remote lock is activated you can hear
noise in all four doors but not all four work. all the doors except the
passenger front work with the key... they all lock but only three unlock.
with the remote they all lock but only the back doors unlock. But as
I said you can hear noise in all four doors..
I have info on removing the door panels but I'm still a little uneasy
about prying around on them.. so next time it sits for longer than
15 minutes I will give it a go.
