Oil in turbo S70 1999

I have a blown head gasket and am replacing the motor. In the process of disassembly, I found something else.

There looks like a slight oil drip under the inlet side of the turbo housing. Also, there is oil in the intake tract between the turbo and the intercooler.

Diagnosis? Advice?

I'm new to this board, and you have all been a big help so far.

Kevin

Curious about how the head gasket blew?

My take on these types of posts is that a bit of oil in the tract between the turbo and intercooler is normal.

The other leak on the turbo, I am not sure how they pix it becuase I haven't looked to see how its connected. The most common problem with these cars is the oil return line leaking where it connects to the block.

Mine's going in tomrrow for a leak on the oil inlet side, sounds scary to me but I was told it was ok to be driving it like that becuase it only looses a few drips over a substantial period of time.

Oil below the turbo (outlet to oilpan, the tube at the bottom of the turbo) is normal. Oil in the compression duct to the intercooler is also normal. There is probably also some carbonized oil on the turbo inpeller vanes - also normal.
