I have a 1998 V70R with about 48,000 miles It has recently developed tracking problems, and two recent alignments have not cured the problem. It will track straight, but when the stering wheel is turned (as to change lanes), it pulls left or right some (not always consistently). This is not just the product of pavement wear or road crown. In constant radius curves it nibbles and tugs a little off center. I have owned the car since new, and this is a recent problem, but there have been no major new potholes or other hits. I hit a pothole about a month ago, but it did not bend the rim or damage the tire. I am on the original Michelin summer tires and alloy wheels (they are straight and seem to be wearing evenly). I am on steel wheels and studded Nokians for about five months a year. The problem arose after returning to the wider summer tires.

Any suggestions? Dealer puzzled after repeat alignments. I go in in two days for another inspection/assessment.

Many thanks for any ideas.
