AC doesn't work S70 1998

When i turn on engine ac works 5 second and then cut off.What does it mean?
Please help me!

Is it the AC or the blower fan.
It is a very common to have defective blower fan on those car. Usually the problem is intermittent.
I needed to change mine at 90 000K. It was shutting off after 3 to 5 seconds like yours.

sounds like you're low on freon. Get a charging kit at autozone and recharge with one can of freon(get the freon that comes with leak dye and leak sealer included?
You might have a leak, hope is not the evaporator.

Cross your fingers and hope its not the compressor. However, mine worked for about 10min before going warm. It never turned off completely though. If your's is completly turning off it sounds like the blower is cutting off. That could be a bad blower or just some sort of electrical problem.
