Daughter stuck in New Jersey - No headlights

'95 855 base, 125,000 miles

No headlights or daytime lights - parking lights do work
Lights flash when directional lever is pulled back, fuses look OK

No other symptoms

I'm thinking electrical portion of ignition switch.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for looking

Daughter home in Massachusetts - Headlight switch case broken

Thanks to Kenk and Phil

I was worried that the ignition switch was bad and loss of ignition was a possibility.

I had my daughter look closely at the headlight switch and she could see that it was loose. It did not feel right either. She drove home today during daylight.

I found that the case of the switch was broken where two tabs fit into two slots.

I installed a new switch today, and I probably try a repair on the old one and keep it as a spare.

You said they still flash. Do the high beams work on the switch? It's the simplest fix but it can be puzzling when BOTH low beam bulbs are burned out at the same time.

Otherwise, how about the headlight switch itself?

try turning the little screw on the switch, i take it since you needed to turn the lights on you had daytime running off, putting it in dayitme running light mode would at least make the car legal to drive a nite, difficult to see the speed though.
