Thanks for the responses to my previous post about my wife having an "engine system service required warning" while on a trip. A tech at the dealer she called said to check the gas cap--Volvo says to tighten it till it clicks three times, which is what I always do, but he said it really should be tightened till it clicks six or more times. She tried it and the message disappeared within a few minutes. A helpful hint for anyone who's been following the Volvo advice literally as I have!

    I have had Autozone check the code and reset my check engine light. The guy said it was a loose gas cap. I thought it was silly. My light came back on again. I will have Autozone check and clear it again and try to overtighten my gas cap...I never have made it click before so I will try the six clicks method and let you know how it works.
