Heavy idling when stopped 850 1993

I have noticed in the past couple days when I stop the car it idles at a higher speed than normal. If I drop it into Neutral it idles fine, but when stopped at a light and in drive the idle is heavy. Any reason for this or something I can check? I recently had an oil change but this problem did not happen until a week after that.

Thanks

How fast does it idle?

Do you have manual or auto transmission?

Matt

Hi Matt,

It is an auto transmission. It seems to be just around 750-800 rpms. I've only the had for about 2 months so I am not sure what the normal idling speed is, but it just doesn't feel right.

Thanks for the reply,

Adam

Sound right to me. We thought that your idle speed was at more than 1000 rpm.
