hey tom,

I'm looking into this more now and I'm thinking that the auterra might be the way to go after all. The only program I found for the laptop does not look near as nice as the auterra. So now I'm looking to pick up a palm device and get the scan package from you in November (my wife will let me get away with it at birthday time :)). BUT, how do I get in touch with you at that time? I want to record the info so I have it handy when the time comes. Thanks.

Rob

The list says Service Engine Soon light, are you referring to the maintenance interval light or the CEL?

no other code reader can reset the service light, so if this can do that, we're talking about a big plus.

I checked with Auterra and it can only reset the CEL on Volvos. Let me know if you are still interested. Thanks.

damn. why can nobody make a unit that does both? Anyway, thanks for checking. I don't have a Palm, so that adds to the cost for me. If the software could do it all, then I would have looked into getting a palm just for this. As it is, I'll just stick with the laptop and get software for that when my wife lets me.

good luck.
