is there a difference in transmission between turbo and non turbo 850s? 850

Time for a new trans for the '94 854 turbo. Seen a few used on Ebay and whatnot. But they all said "for non turbo" 850. Is there actually a difference?

The guts are the same but the torque converter stall speed and final gear ratio is different and the computer required to control the tranny is different between the Turbo and non-Turbo models. The final gear ratio for the Turbo is 2.54:1 and for the non-Turbo its 2.74:1 or 3.16:1 . Unless you can find the exact same part number tranny somewhere in great condition, you are better off rebuilding the one you have.

Call a dealer parts department as they can check PNs but although they look the same, the turbo trans is suppose to be beefier to handle the extra torque, so I'm told.
