Coolant loss but pressure test by dealer says no leaks - Part 2

I just discovered coolant on the carpet (front passenger side). I pulled the floor mat up from the two peg holders and it seems that the coolant is coming out from underneath the carpet around the pegs. I tried looking around for other wet areas but could not find any. Could this be the heater core or something else? (The dealer said the pressure test showed no leaks.)

TIA

Like Frank said, that's the "classic" location of the heater core leak puddle. At least it was when mine failed. Good news is the heater core is a "relatively" easy fix, unlike the evaporator.

As to why they have inept kids doing these diagnostics you'd need to ask your dealer.

I've moved on to comparatively competent indy Volvo shops now for the duration.

Can only be the heater core or an o-ring from one of the two tubes going to it. Fold the carpet down on the left side, to the right of the gas pedal, remove the plastic cover and you'll see the tubes and bottom of the heater core.
Whoever looked at your car in a dealership was probably inexperienced (a rookie) as many dealers now have "kids" working there. We have that problem where I work too.

I have this leak probem as well. It has progressed to the point that coolant smell pervades the interior. Two dealerships have told me the heater core cannot be repaired only replaced for $500 and it involves removing the entire dashboard, etc. Also they said their are no o-rings or seals to replace, only the core in its entireity. Can these guys be correct?
