S70 Oil Leak...Need Help! S70 1998

Hello, I'm new to this board and I was hoping that you guys might be able to help me out with the oil leak that my '98 S70 GLT has developed. I'm not too sure as to where the leak is coming from but,the droplets of oil collect and drip along the front side of the oil pan. I have heard something about a leak at the turbo return line being a notorious problem for these cars and that it is a cheap, "do it yourself" fix. I was hoping that maybe this could be my problem and I could replace that gasket first to see if it solves my oil leak problem. However, I have no idea where this gasket is located and how to go about ordering a new gasket. It would be great if you guys can give me some advice along with any helpful fix it yourself guides in regards to the turbo return line gasket. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

~~Wes

    S70 Oil Leak...Need Help! S70 1998

Just to clarify, Punxsutawney Phil caught a mistake that I had made in the original post. The oil droplets are indeed accumulating and dripping from the rear of the oil pan. Thanks again for the correction Phil.

FRONT of the oil pan? S70 1998

When mine started leaking the drips actually collected along the rear of the oil pan, around the oil drain plug.

Oops, thanks for catching that. You are right, the droplets of oil are accumulating and dripping from the rear of the oil pan. Thanks so much for correcting that. So what did you do to correct your oil leak? Was it the turbo return gasket or something else? BTW, thank you all that have responded so far. Any other help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks again.

Have a look at this thread:

    http://www.brickboard.com/AWD/index.htm?id=552985

for similar issue. There are a couple of technical service
bulletins including one for leaky oil pan bolts on 98s. The
    above thread has more details.

This area is also close to the oil filter. A leak there might
drip down onto the front of the oil pan.

If your 98 Glt has, say around 80.000 - 120.000k, you can anticipate a rear main seal failure comming your way...
