My OEM Pirelli S/T's are pretty worn after 37K miles. Thinking of replacing them with the new STR series which supposedly has a longer treadlife,and is also the OEM tire on the 2003 XC. Don't know if they're as good as the S/T's were, especially in the snow, but I was hoping to find some folks who have some experience with them, good or bad. Thanks for your help.

    We had to change our Pirellis at 32,000 and I would never get Pirelli's again. The tires we had were defective and this was established since 500 miles by the Volvo techs at our dealership. Pirelli wouldn't help thru persistant efforts of our Volvo dealership. Try another tire. We purchased a replacement at Les Schwab in Oregon that we are well satisfied with.
