I have just turned 100,000 miles on my 1999 S70 T5M. It is the best car I have ever owned. It still runs and looks brand new. It is a company car and I am ready to trade it in on a new Volvo. The S60 has too small of a back seat and the S80 has never been one of my favorites. I am leaning on getting the XC90 and was hoping to get some insight from comments on the Brickboard. There are none. Do XC90 owners not own a computer or is there nothing to comment about the XC90?

I beg to differ. There ARE car enthusiasts out there who own XC90s. I love mine. We also have a 1990 240 and a 1993 960. The XC90 is a better ride than the 1998 V70 I traded in, and I got a decent deal. I did notice the AWD had a truckier ride than the 2WD with bigger tires that I went with, and the gas mileage is just about the same as my old wagon. It's the safest SUV out there.

They're all at the coutry club counting the little money after they purchased the XC90. LOL

If I could afford it I don't know if I would buy it. I will wait another 2 years to see what the bugs are.

Maybe I'm not giving them enough credit, but perhaps SUV owners aren't usually car "enthusiasts". If they are, they probably own a car as well, and participate in a forum devoted to it. Or, they belong to the various "Off Roading" forums, in which case they would have no interest in the XC90. Or, they're into the lowered, big wheels, bigger stereo, 9 video screens, tinted window SUV scene. Again, different forums, no interest in the XC90. Maybe when they start aging, and begin to experience problems, you'll see posts about them. Until then they're just nice apliances sitting in the driveway. Don't get me wrong, I think it's the best SUV out there,and I'd love to have one. I just wouldn't be inspired to write about it much.
