I have found a 96 855R in good cond. Does anybody know how expensive/difficult it would be to install the factory roof rack rails? I need them for surf boards, bikes etc. Thule makes a jamb mount rack but I don't like the way it fits in the jambs. Thanks

Ed,
There are holes provided on the 850's for a roof rack. I don't know if Volvo makes it but they put their name on it. The holes are in the top center if each door opening. Opin the door and you will see the holes just below the roof line. I have one that I got on Ebay. It came with a ski rack and a bike rack. Thule also makes bike racks that mount to it. You can get them from Volvo but they show up on Ebay off and on.
If you manage to get the main rack, contact me and I will sell the Volvo bike mounting kit. I never use it.

Thanks for the info, I am going up to Sac to see the car later this month. My wifes aunt owns it, I hope its as nice as her son describes it.
