Foglamps? 850

I have a 93 850.

I leaned over to pull a foam cup from underneath my bumper (it got stuck in those holes when i was driving i guess) and i saw a couple of wires with a black clip thing on the end. I didn't look at the otherside of the bumper to see if there was another one, but is there the thing to attach my foglamps to, meaning i dont have to wire anything? That would be nice, cause then all i gotta do is buy some.

Thanks

Tony

i think im just gonna hit up autozone or walmart or some other store that sells random car accesories and price some nice rectangularish (haha i made up a word) fog lights, and see what i would have to do to make them connect to those connectors.

You won't have to do a whole lot, though you'll need the OEM switch and relay to complete the installation. Are you planning for these lights to be decorative, or do you want to actually improve your lighting?

I also have a 1993 850, there is a kit available for our cars, and appearantly they fit into the little "cut outs" in the front bumper. I havent ordered them yet, so I cant say forsure.

Look on volvoworld.com, they are about 220 bucks. If you do get them, let me know if they are!!

maybe... a lot of these cars are pre-wired for fogs... unfortunately...ur bumper is a bit different than mine... but u should be able to find any set of square/rectangular fogs for a decent price that function better than the one volvo provides...

I added the factory fogs for about 120 from a volvo place in atlanta. It was pretty easy to install, the switch comes with the kit. I wanted a stock look and the lamps seem to work well, since they are supposed to light up the space between the car and headlamps, they are not driving lamps, that is why they are spaced as far apart as possible. Driving lamps are supposed to be positioned close together in the center, fogs the opposite.

I like the look, but I may look for a set of amber bulbs for a really different look since everyone is going for white/blue color

Were the fog lamps that you got, fitted for that little cut out on the front shroud? If so can you let me know where you got them from. Im holding out till I can find the factory ones that fit properly.

Thanks,

Tony.
