Dead speedometer/odometer. S70 1998

Speedometer and odometer stopped working after few days of buying the car. I have't regitered it so I can't replace odometer and I don't wont to register with "not actual milage" titel.
Trip odometer showing 000000
Any advice on what could be the cause of the problem would be appreciated.

Have your volvo tech hook up a volvo scan tool to your obd2 socket and go to
(combi) instrument cluster where hi can read the actual vehicle millage.Use that millege for your registaration .Once you replace that speedometer with a new one it has to be programmed witch that millage. You can only program a millage once.

Do you know how to correct an odometer when it's gear is being replaced? I know the actual mileage.
