2001 V70 T5 -- Noise in Front Suspension V70-XC70

My 2001 V70 T5 has a slight rattling noise coming from the front suspension area when traveling over bumps. It is noticeable at low speeds with the windows up.

I asked the dealer to look at it when it was recently in for the 30K service. They said everything was OK.

The noise is still there and is more noticeable. Any thoughts before we head back to the dealer?

Yep; sway bar end links (symptoms exactly as described), and be sure to replace the bushing as well. Do it soon before your tires dissolve.

I vote for the sway bar end links. The ones in my na V70 lasted about 45K miles. They are a common warrantee repair, or so the service department at my dealer told me.

as long as you are under warrenty, they may never find the problem, as soon as your warrenty expires, they will find a 500.00 repair. Take it to another dealer.

sway bar end links are a common problem, the bushing wears out and results in a clunk or rattle in the front end. you may want to look there, also upper strut mounts are a likely culprit.
