Volvo S70 Air Conditioning Lights S70 1998

My 1998 Volvo S70 T5 air conditioning unit goes on for a few seconds (cold air blows out) and then the unit shuts off. Two red lights start blinking on the AC control pannel. What might be the cause and solution? Thank you...

The climate control system has it's own computer control system.
The system has detected a fault which is indicated by the flashin
LEDs. The flashing LEDs should be described in more detail in the
owners manual. A dealer will have to connect to the systems computer
to get the exact fault codes.

My 98's blower fan failed. This is actually a pretty common
problem. A new fan assemmbly was about $145 and an hour of labor
to replace (easy task, I did it myself). But, it could be a different
problem (although fan failure is common). The exact diagnostic codes
that a dealer could retrieve would provide the details.

Thank you... I guess it's off to the dealer for an expensive diognostic check
