Disabling an S60

What can I do to disable an S60, i.e. to reduce the possibility of theft. It's going to be stored for long periods in place where it couldn't be trucked out by a thief, but could conceivably be somehow hot-wired. What part should I take out to keep it from running? In the old days it was the distributor cap and rotor but those are gone. I'd like to leave the battery in so that the alarm will still work as well as the little flashing light on the dash. I hoping for something that's fairly easy to take out and put back.

I like the fuse 23 idea - I tried it, it works. Easy to take out and put back. It's only a 5 amp fuse but obviously important. I think I will do the club too - the visability could prevent a broken window. Thanks for all the comments.

Besides what others have mentioned, it'd be pretty near impossible for any rookie thief to steal any newer Volvo with its alarm system even IF anyone was to try. It's not as simple as an older GM car where a guy could break the steering column cover and drive away in seconds. Volvo's gone through great lengths to make thier security systems tough to bypass as auto theft is supposedly a bigger problem in Europe.

Disabling an S60

Recently on the CBC Network (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, similar to BBC) their was an one hour documentary on car thefts. They spent a few days with a professional car thief who shared his knowledge and showed them how easy it is to steal cars. They also parked "bait cars" in parking lots, wired them with cameras and were monitored by surveilance. Anyway, the good news is, Volvos are not on anyones "hot" list. Secondly, the pro said he just walks past a car if it has "the club" installed on the steering wheel. It just isn't worth the trouble. The bottom line is, the pros want to take a car under three minutes. So anything that can slow them down will usually have them move on. For example, you could remove one wheel, and store it in the trunk. Of course you would remove the jack/wrench and store them elsewhere. Just a suggestion.
