Rear seatbelt locked 850 1995

I folded down the rear seats in my '95 850 wagon. But when I flipped the seats back up, the passenger-side seatbelt locked and can't be pulled out. Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks.

Had the same problem with my seatbelt. Just tilt the seat forward and tug on the belt, it may not loosen up until you put the seat back into its upright position. Worked for me.

Fold up the seat bottom, remove side bolster.(pull forward at top and lift out). Unbolt the bottom seatbelt mount. Now you can fold the seatback up, which should release the belt. The probable cause is 1 of the stop buttons in the belt webbing has come off, allowing the belt to retract too far. When the seat is folded down, the belt reel locks. If the belt stop button is missing, the bels sucks in, and won,t unspool. Look at the other side and you will see a small plastic button in the belt near the plastic seatback trim. These are available at the dealer for a buck or two. To install, dab a bit of superglue in tghe center and install where the old one was. You should be able to find the hole. Then heat up the ennd of a flat punch aqnd melt the plastic dimple to a mushroom shape.
