Headlight Question 850 1994

I was wondering what a good headlight is. I am looking for one that is a lot more white and not the blue kind that you see on rice rockets but a clean look. Basically like the HID lights without the kit. Does anyone know a good light to go with? Thanks.

    Headlight Question 850 1994

I would recommend PIAA SuperWhites and the E-coded headlight lens. You can get the E-code lens at FCPGroton.com for about $85 each and they are factory Volvo glass with new gaskets and clips. Anything else is a waste of time. The PIAA lights are pricey but durable unlike the Taiwan lights you find for $20 a pair at Circuit City or Discount Autoparts or wherever.

      Headlight Question 850 1994

I heard that the ecodes will fit, but should have the whole assembly b/c the reflector setup is different for the european lights. Do you know if this is true?

I bought the whole units off of european eBay. I can tell you there is a very minor difference in the reflector. So nominal I chose to simply replace the glass.

I don't know, we'd have to find one and look. But the E-codes are still a definite improvement over the stock DOT lens anyway. The beam is more direct down the road instead of a floodlight kind of thing.
