Cold weather window issue 850

Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season.

Since January dawned, true winter weather returned to the midwest, and with it, some annoyance.

My power windows (all 4) have been operating quite slowly as long as the temperature is below 10 degrees Farenheit. I'm assuming something in the window is shrinking, or the lubricating grease in the window actuator is increasing in viscosity, but I'm not sure.

Has anyone else encountered problems like this?

Any advice is appreciated,

Thanks again,

Nate

Interestingly, Have you checked your battery voltage. Cold weather can lead to battery failure. Reduced voltages will operate your motors at a much slower rate. Probably not the problem but I would check it anyway.

I'll bet that most people do not even open their windows at 10 degrees F. so cannot offer any advice.

I'm curious, why do you open your windows in the cold?

I work for a public university, and in the interest of decreasing the number of cars on campus, I must either pay for parking as I enter facilities, or use my key card to enter certain parking ramps.

I'd be crazy to drive with windows open this week with the lovely -40 windchills returning to the Gopher State.

I spray the tracks with high quality silicone lubricant from time to time.
