I get them from either IPD or Groton.. 10 at a time = about $4.95 ea + shipping.

Volvo dealer? Unless it's just urban legend, it's my understanding that Mann makes oil filters for Volvo. So if you can't find a local independent parts person selling Mann, your dealer should have one labelled Volvo.

I buy them in bulk, either mail order or at the Carlisle meet (not useful for you at the moment in Denver, admittedly).

First one I bought was from my dealer. $12 plus tax. Since then I've been buying from FCPGroton.
