Seat back motor and cable 850 1993

My seat back does not adjust. I can hear and feel the motor vibrating when I attempt to adjust the seat. Bay 13 provides excellent instructions on how to fix the cable; however, I am reluctant to pull apart my seat because i am not positive that it is the cable that needs to be replaced. What are your thoughts? Do you think it is the cable or something else?

    I've done dozens. It was the cable in 100% of cars I've done.

    Hello,

    I had the same problem and replaced the cable using their instructions. It fixed the problem and was not too hard to do for a novice like me. I bet yours is the cable as well. Mine would adjust forward-back but not the back tilt.
