my blower motor has been MAKING SQUEEKING NOISE, WELL THIS AM DIDNT HAVE THE BLOWER, HEAT WAS COMMING FROM VENTS BUT NOT BLOWING, DO I NEED A NEW MOTOR, HOW MUCH FROM VOLVO, IS IT HARD TO PUT IN YOURSELF? DID ONE ON MY 740, WASNT TOO BAD. IT WAS FUNNY THE FASTER I DROVE THE MORE HEAT CAME OUT, WHEN I LOOKED DOWN I WAS DOING ABOUT 90. THANKS KELLY

    It is easy to replace. It is behind the glove box.
    You frop the knee bolster, remove glove box and then
    replace. Box my come out first then bolster, I forget.
    Takes about an hour. Tighten the knee bolster bolts
    (for the steel bar, which must come out) up tight when
    you put it back to avoid (any more) squeeks.

    Thermostat failure is common, too. Make sure the car
    is actually at operating em,perature (the temp gage should
    be at 3 o'clock position).

      thanks mark, did check it out, had to send email request. wanted to go to dealer today to get part, still too cold in jersey to be driving without heat. kelly
